With Health Discovery Corporations new FGM technology, a new view is provided for medical problems such as the AIDS dementia. The world is not linear. FGM promotes the reality of this worldview and brings it into the 21st century. This is a major paradigm shift and will lead to a better understanding and treatment of all diseases."
Dr. Paul Shapshak
Director of the Dementia/HIV Laboratory
University of Miami Medical School
Health Discovery Corporation has identified and patent protected an AIDS gene set that can separate AIDS brain cells from non-AIDS brain cells with a high degree of accuracy.
This biomarker discovery was accomplished in conjunction with Dr. Paul Shapshak, Director of the Dementia/HIV Laboratory at the University of Miami Medical School, and a group of leading scientists using Health Discovery Corporation's proprietary Fractal Genomics Modeling (FGM) analysis technique. This esteemed group of scientists include; Drs. Toni Kazic and Raman Seth of the University of Missouri, Wade Davis of Baylor University, and Robert Duncan, Elda M. Duran, Fabiana Ziegler, Carol K. Petito, and Jorge Torres-Munoz of the University of Miami and Avindra Nath of Johns Hopkins University.
When untreated, HIV-related dementia occurs in 40 to 60 percent of all cases of HIV infection. Even when treated, dementia occurs in 10 percent of all cases of HIV infection, with the number continuing to rise as the virus becomes resistant to treatment. At the crux of the problem is inflammation in the brain caused by HIV infection, a problem whose underlying genetic causes are complex and largely unknown.
